The role of the Corporate Secretariat is to:

• Facilitate Best Practice Corporate Governance
• Support Airservices Board
• Support the Airservices Chairman
• Support the 4 Airservices Board Committees including:
  • Board Audit Committee
  • Board Safety and Environment Committee
  • Board Security Committee
  • Board Remuneration Committee

Section 24 of the Air Services Act 1995 provides that the Board must hold such meetings as are necessary for the efficient performance of its functions.

The Board currently schedules 10 regular meetings each year, which are normally (but not always) held on the last Tuesday of a month. The Board schedules at least one meeting each year at a location other than Canberra.
