Long Term Pricing Arrangement
Ongoing Customer Consultation
In December 2004, Airservices Australia received endorsement from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) for a longer term pricing arrangement. We proposed as part of the agreement to consult with our customers and key stakeholders on a regular basis to review our performance against key parameters underpinning the pricing agreement.
The inaugural post implementation meeting was held last year, on 13 December. At that meeting it was agreed by a broad range of industry participants that a Working Group, similar to that used to develop the LTPA, would be established for future consultations. Ideally the group would comprise of around 8 representatives of the various sectors of the industry, who would sign confidentiality agreements to enable the sharing of commercially sensitive information in a workshop environment.
A letter was sent to industry on 12 May 2006, inviting nominations and suggestions for membership. Following feedback received, the following organisations will comprise the Working Group:
- International Air Transport Association
- Board of Airline Representatives of Australia
- Australian Airports Association
- Regional Aviation Association of Australia
- Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of Australia
- Royal Federation of Aero Clubs
- Virgin Blue
- Regional Express
- Qantas Airways
- Emirates Airlines
The first Working Group meeting will be held on Friday 7 July 2006 at:
Airservices Australia
Executive Board Room
Alan Woods Building
25 Constitution Avenue
Canberra ACT
The meeting will commence at 8.30 for a 9am start and conclude at 2pm.
An agenda and draft Terms of Reference can be found on the left hand side of the website.
Communication of the Working Group outcomes with individual customers will occur via regular direct communication, Airservices Australia’s dedicated pricing website and Strategic Partnering Charters, which we have signed with many of our customers.
