Airspace Overview

Within the Perth area there are three busy aerodromes:

Perth International (YPPH) is the capital city aerodrome. It operates on a 24 hr basis.

Jandakot (YPJT) is a GAAP zone.

Tower hours of operations:

  0000 – 1000 UTC SAT
   
Sep – May  
  0000 – 1300 UTC MON-FRI
  0000 – 1000 UTC SAT/SUN

Pearce – military aerodrome. Subject to NOTAM

Air Traffic Services

TMA airspace is split North and South of the delineation line through Perth Airport.
TMA South controls traffic into and out of Jandakot. Dependant on the runway configuration TMA south maybe either approach or departures.
Approach frequency 123.6MHz
Departures frequency 118.7MHz
Extensive radar coverage exists within the Perth area, allowing Perth Radar Information Services (RIS), known as ‘Perth Radar’ on 135.25 to provide traffic information, position information, weather and operational information services subject to controller workload.
Clearance delivery service is provided for aircraft entering TMA airspace. Frequency 132.95
